Ark 2 Stays Silent While Survival Ascended Takes the Spotlight

Studio Wildcard hasn’t provided an update on when Ark 2 will be released. Originally planned for 2023, it was later pushed back to late 2024. However, as the end of 2024 came and went, there was no launch nor any communication from the developers regarding the game’s status.

During this period, Studio Wildcard has dedicated their efforts to Ark: Survival Evolved’s remastered version, titled Ark: Survival Ascended. This remaster was launched in early access back in 2023, which happened to correspond with the postponement of Ark 2. The developers have now unveiled a two-year plan for Ark: Survival Ascended, extending up until late 2026.

The blueprint details various upgrades and fresh material coming your way. Starting from March and April, players can look forward to an upgrade for Unreal Engine 5.5, the appearance of new critters like bison, as well as a free reboot of the Ragnarok map. June will introduce a new paid map, with the free reboot of the Valguero map arriving in August. As we move into the next year, further remastered content is scheduled, such as Genesis and Bob’s True Tales in April and August 2026, and the remastered Fjordur map in December 2026.

Although the blueprint lays out a comprehensive strategy for Ark: Survival Evolved, there’s still no fresh intel regarding Ark 2. The silence on the progress of Ark 2 or an adjusted launch timeline has sparked curiosity and speculation among fans about what lies ahead.

Essentially, Studio Wildcard continues to work on and expand Ark: Survival Evolved according to a detailed two-year blueprint. As for Ark 2, there hasn’t been any new info or indications of its development progress from the creators themselves.
