2022 saw reports that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was under development. Following the filming of multiple episodes for the reboot series, the project experienced a creative revamp in which reshoots were conducted last year.
The rescheduled filming due to reshoots and the SAG-AFTRA strike caused a delay in the series, with a confirmed premiere set for March 4, 2025. However, it’s puzzling that there seems to be a significant absence of promotional efforts, particularly regarding the release of a trailer for the show.
At New York Comic Con, I was fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of one tantalizing trailer, a mere sneak peek into the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future offerings by Disney. However, that’s about as much as we’ve got for now.
The program not only set a new record for the quickest turnaround between an MCU series’ premiere date and its trailer launch, surpassing ‘Loki’ Season 2’s previous mark. Currently, just 50 days remain before its airdate, but as of now, no trailer has been disclosed.
Actor Vincent D’Onofrio, who will once again play Wilson Fisk (also known as Kingpin), recently discussed the delay in releasing the trailer. This delay is linked to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, which have persisted over the past few days.
In Southern California, three significant wildfires persist: the expansive Palisades Fire (covering 23,713 acres and currently 11% contained), and the Eaton Fire near Altadena (spread over 14,117 acres, now 27% contained). Previously strong Santa Ana winds worsened the situation, but they’ve since subsided, helping containment efforts. Fortunately, four other fires in the region have been fully extinguished, and cleanup operations are ongoing.
Based on reports from the Associated Press, these wildfires have been burning for about 24 hours now and have caused damages estimated in billions.
D’Onofrio additionally mentioned that the show’s launch date remains consistent, despite the actor stating March 5th as the release date instead of the 4th, which might be a simple typing error or a time zone confusion.
