For quite some time now, Gwyneth Paltrow has been an integral component of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, just like everyone else, she finds it challenging to recall all her appearances. Beginning with ‘Iron Man’, Paltrow portrayed ‘Pepper Potts’ in numerous films such as ‘Iron Man 2’, ‘The Avengers’, and ‘Iron Man 3’.
Her character had a more limited presence in the subsequent films, making brief cameos in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” In “Endgame,” fans witnessed her donning the suit as “Rescue,” contributing to the battle against Thanos. She was also present during Tony Stark’s poignant farewell scene.
After that point, Pepper Potts has been noticeably missing from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was quite unexpected when she didn’t make an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, given that Damage Control had been shown taking control of many Stark Industries assets following Peter Parker’s fight against Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Reports suggest that Paltrow might be joining the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, as claimed by scooper @MyTimeToShineH (via ComicBookMovie.com). This could be Pepper’s next move, with ‘Ironheart’ and ‘Armor Wars’ also potential projects where she might reappear.
It’s fascinating to imagine Iron Man’s comrades squaring off against Doctor Doom, perhaps even from a different dimension. But, I must admit, I’m unsure about where this film’s plot might be headed.
The movie titled “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2026, followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars” in May 2027. Although there’s a bit of ambiguity, it appears that the Russo Brothers will be back at the helm, which suggests that the franchise is in good hands for continuation.
Despite limited information on “Avengers: Doomsday,” excitement for Paltrow’s reappearance and the ongoing saga of Earth’s strongest superheroes steadily grows.
