Fans of the original Project Runway will be thrilled to hear that Heidi Klum, a beloved figure who has been missed on the show, is returning as its host for the upcoming season (season 21). This news was confirmed by People magazine on January 3, 2025.
Back in 2004, you might not know that a well-known supermodel started hosting a popular TV show. She continued to do so until 2017 when she decided to step down from the position. In September 2018, it was announced by her fashion mentor, Tim Gunn, that she had left the show.
In the year 2020, Klum and Gunn teamed up to launch a fashion series named “Making The Cut” on Amazon Prime Video, a venture they discussed following their departures from Project Runway.
At a press gathering in 2020, the supermodel revealed that their creative potential surpassed what they were restricted to execute. Klum went on to say, “Things crumbled apart… It was terrifying. We considered various options and believed that Amazon would be the ideal choice, not just for the show but also for the designers,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to reports, we don’t have an exact release date yet for the upcoming season of Project Runway, but it looks likely that it will air some time this year.
The formerly Bravo-aired reality show has been announced for broadcast on Disney’s Freeform network, and it will be streamable on both Disney+ and Hulu the following day, according to recent reports.
