The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, which left countless homes in ruins, are incredibly distressing. Amongst the heartbreaking tales of loss, there are also uplifting stories emerging – such as that of James Woods, who managed to escape the fires with his home intact.
On his social media account, the performer shared pictures of his Pacific Palisades residence, remarkably untouched by the wildfires. The actor expressed gratitude, stating “A miracle has occurred.” He explained that against all expectations, their property and home, which were supposed to be destroyed completely, remained standing.
He remarked, “In this desolate environment, ‘standing’ has a different meaning, but the smoke and damage here are stark contrasts to the devastation all around.” In the video, you can see the veteran artist pointing out the remaining parts of his house that were nearly leveled by the fire. He exclaimed in the recording, “Look at what’s left below us — oh my God!
As Woods panned his camera to reveal the home of his helping neighbor, he remarked, “There’s the residence of our neighbor. Sarah and Francis, the children we helped rescue, are currently battling fires on our slope.
