Ariana Greenblatt Will Reportedly Return as Young Ahsoka in Season 2!

Initially conceived as a miniseries, Ahsoka is now being considered for a second season, contingent upon the success of its first. Following its complete release in October 2023, Dave Filoni decided to prioritize discussions about a potential follow-up season for Ahsoka, rather than his upcoming Star Wars crossover film.

In January 2024, it was confirmed that Filoni had begun working on the second season of Ahsoka, a position that aligned with his recently acquired role as Chief Creative Officer at Lucasfilm, which involves supervising future Star Wars productions.

Excitedly sharing the news about the upcoming season, I recently announced that Rory McCann, renowned for his captivating portrayal of Sandor ‘The Hound’ Clegane in ‘Game of Thrones’, will be stepping into the role of Balyan Skoll. This decision comes following the unfortunate passing of Ray Stevenson.

According to the latest reports from insider Daniel Richtman, it seems Ariana Greenblatt might reappear in season 2, continuing her portrayal of Young Ahsoka. If accurate, this could imply a series of flashback scenes and potentially bring back Hayden Christensen as Anakin.

The starting date for the new season’s filming hasn’t been determined yet, nor is there any information about who will be directing it. However, Dave Filoni, who was in charge during season one, will resume his role as the showrunner.

In the final episode of ‘Ahsoka’, Grand Admiral Thrawn’s ship, the ‘Chimaera’, is laden with enigmatic goods and sets sail for the central galaxy under the guidance of the Eye of Sion. Ezra Bridger crafts a replacement lightsaber using pieces from his deceased master Kanan’s weapon. The droid Huyang discloses that Ahsoka previously halted Sabine’s Jedi training due to her apprehensions about Sabine’s abilities following the loss of her family during the Mandalorian massacre. Yet, in the present, Ahsoka fully dedicates herself to Sabine’s education as a Jedi.

In this scenario, Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra encounter Thrawn’s troops, which have been reanimated by the ominous power of the Great Mothers. As Ahsoka engages Morgan Elsbeth, now bolstered by the Great Mothers’ strength, Sabine and Ezra focus on reaching the Chimaera. Sabine, in a moment of desperation, harnesses the Force for the first time, using it to save herself and enable Ezra to embark on the ship. However, she remains behind to support Ahsoka in her battle against Morgan Elsbeth. In the end, Ahsoka slays Morgan, but Thrawn manages to flee with the Great Mothers, heading for Dathomir, thereby leaving Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang marooned on Peridea.

Ezra slips off from the Chimaera upon its arrival at the New Republic, where he reconnects with Hera Syndulla. Simultaneously, Shin Hati forges an alliance with outlaws on Peridea, while Baylan Skoll stumbles upon statues of the Mortis deities, hinting at a hidden objective in his travels. Meanwhile, Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang establish themselves among the Noti people, as Anakin Skywalker’s spirit keeps a watchful eye over them.
