This six-part series in the Prestige format brings back Mitch Shelley, better known as The Resurrection Man. First introduced by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Jackson “Butch” Guice, Mitch is a one-of-a-kind character who acquires a new superpower each time he perishes, depending on the manner of his death. In this fresh narrative, Shelley stirs from his latest revival with a renewed mission: to protect the universe.
In contrast, this mission will test him severely since he encounters a World War II camp commander, who has twisted Shelley’s powers, exhibiting a cruel and malicious nature. The series follows Shelley as he traverses through time and space, grappling with cosmic chaos, and making numerous self-sacrifices in his quest for the preservation of existence across all dimensions.
Ram V expressed his eagerness to share a tale he’s harbored since he began crafting stories for DC. It’s been lingering in his thoughts for quite some time, and his enthusiasm for the character and narrative has only intensified. Starting this coming Friday, the 17th of January, you’ll have the chance to pre-order the initial edition of “Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma” from comic book stores that carry it, as well as various digital platforms. The launch date for this title is set for Wednesday, April 2.
The main cover for this issue will be created by Jeff Dékal, while Dan Panosian, the series artist Anand RK, and co-creator Jackson “Butch” Guice will all provide additional cover variations. Furthermore, Guice will provide one-page summaries in each issue to catch up on Mitch Shelley’s background, with writing by Ram V.
