As British royals, they too have been forced to evacuate their $14 million home in Montecito, where they’ve lived since 2020 with their children, Archie (5) and Lilibet (3), following their retirement from royal duties.

On Thursday, the 9th of January, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted a statement along with useful links to various resources and charities on their official website.

Over the past several days, wildfires in Southern California have swept through communities, leaving destruction in their wake for countless families, homes, schools, healthcare facilities, and many other aspects of life – impacting a diverse range of people. This is what the Sussexes penned down.

In their message, it was stated that some individuals and households have lost everything they had. They kindly ask for your generosity in donating items such as clothing, toys for kids, and necessary goods. The American Red Cross is actively assisting those in dire need.

5 people have been confirmed injured, while over 30,000 locals were told to leave their houses following the sudden eruption of wildfires in Pacific Palisades and neighboring densely populated areas on Tuesday evening. The fires quickly ravaged through countless homes as they burned relentlessly.

It’s been reported that the residence of Harry and Markle is located within a “high-risk fire area,” but there’s no information available on whether they were instructed to leave as precautionary measures.
