Nintendo Announces LEGO Game Boy for October 2025

Intrigued to bring a smile to a ’90s child? Simply mention “LEGO” and “Game Boy,” and you’ll witness a delightful wave of nostalgia. It looks like these two iconic items are about to meet in the real world! According to IGN, Nintendo has recently released a short video teaser on social media, featuring Lego bricks that resemble the classic Game Boy design. The video showcases elements such as the purple buttons and directional pad, though it doesn’t reveal the final product just yet. The teaser does, however, hint at the upcoming collaboration between LEGO and Game Boy. The release date for this exciting new Lego set is October 2025, and you can watch the brief teaser right here:

On numerous occasions, LEGO and Nintendo have teamed up for collaborative projects. Previously, we’ve witnessed the release of LEGO sets inspired by Super Mario and Mario Kart, which were highly acclaimed and sold exceptionally well. Other joint ventures include the LEGO Piranha Plant, iconic characters like 16-bit Mario and Yoshi from Super Mario World, a massive LEGO Bowser, and an impressive LEGO version of Zelda’s castle. One of their most beloved creations among Nintendo fans was the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System replica. It seems only natural that they would now focus on creating a LEGO Game Boy.

How much can we expect to pay for the LEGO Game Boy when it arrives this fall? At the moment, there’s no clear answer. As it’s set to release in October, we might not get more details until then. The previous LEGO Nintendo NES was quite costly, so we’re hoping this one will be a bit cheaper. In the meantime, Nintendo enthusiasts are excited for any updates on the Switch 2, with rumors suggesting official news could come in April.
