Discussions about a World War Hulk film have been ongoing, but it seems the project might be taking an unexpected turn. Rather than a straight-up adaptation, the narrative appears to be shifting towards something fresh and different.
Following Thor: Ragnarok, there’s been an emphasis in the MCU on Hulk’s transformation, notably Bruce Banner’s transition into “Smart Hulk.” This focus might be why discussions about a World War Hulk film have arisen instead.
The transition might serve as an extension of the foundation laid by “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” with “Captain America: Brave New World” possibly adding to this expansion. However, it’s important to note that the movie isn’t officially confirmed yet. Nevertheless, a reliable source, @MyTimeToShineH, has hinted that a project titled “World War Hulks” (the title is accurate) is currently in development, according to ComicBookMovie.com.
This potential development may link to the upcoming “Mutant Chronicles” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there’s talk of a potential film featuring a confrontation between the Hulk and Wolverine. It’s speculated that the latest addition to the MCU’s X-Men team, “Logan,” could be dispatched by Department H on a mission to track down the Hulk, which promises an adrenaline-pumping sequence of events.
Confidential sources suggest that Bruce Banner’s deepest apprehensions may materialize. This implies that various global governments might develop beings similar to the Hulk, potentially placing Bruce in a predicament where he must confront the monsters he himself brought into existence.
It’s possible we might witness the comeback of the ferocious Hulk, known as Savage Hulk, paving the way for a grand confrontation with President Ross, who is predicted to transform into Red Hulk in the near future.
Currently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe features at least three versions of the Hulk, including the Abomination, with whispers suggesting that Amadeus Cho might become one soon. If you add in The Leader, it’s clear we’re headed for a colossal, global battle.
Given the numerous Hulks involved, it’s evident that this project holds promise for epic fights that will be hard to forget. You can learn more about it at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con or D23. Keep an eye out for updates!
