In the movie “Deadpool 2,” I found that his unyielding, straight-laced persona complemented Deadpool’s chaotic stunts beautifully, forming a captivating dynamic that resonated deeply with audiences. The prospect of him sharing screen time with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine would have undeniably injected an exhilarating dimension to the film, making it even more enticing for fans.
However, the studio apparently had different ideas about the movie than what Cable’s role would be, ultimately excluding him from the final cut. This outcome seemed disappointing to Liefeld, as he believes that excluding Cable diminished the quality of the film.
His response mirrors what many of us might feel – having Cable around would have made things more balanced between Deadpool and Wolverine because he’s tough and intense. Liefeld didn’t explain why Cable wasn’t used, but there are theories that it could be due to creative differences or scheduling issues.
