The adorable beagle dog owned by Meghan Markle, named Guy, won over numerous people’s affections, particularly during a touching scene where he was spotted traveling alongside Queen Elizabeth II to Windsor Castle in a heartwarming display.
Meghan’s adopted dog, who gained popularity back in 2018 when videos of him were shared by the Daily Mail, has sadly passed away. He had become a cherished member of her family. The touching moment captured on film has been viewed thousands of times since it was posted.
The beagle’s journey can easily be described as a transformation from poverty to prosperity, or more commonly known as a ‘from rags to riches’ narrative. This unfortunate creature was discovered abandoned in the remote wilderness of Kentucky, with only a few days left before it faced euthanization.
Dolores Doherty, the founder of A Dog’s Dream Rescue, commented on how endearing he was, with his long, chocolate-colored ears, large eyes, and compact, spherical beagle figure,” says the statement.
We introduced Meghan to another potential canine companion, but upon seeing Guy, her interest sparked instantly, and she decided on the spot that she wanted to adopt him. Later, Guy was transported over 800 kilomometer to Canada, where he found his forever home with Meghan Markle.
Back in 2018, a video emerged showing Guy traveling alongside Queen Elizabeth II towards Windsor Castle. This particular clip, featuring the beagle sticking its head out of the vehicle’s window, garnered massive interest and won people’s affection.
Although the motive for Guy’s journey with the Queen has yet to be clarified, numerous individuals interpreted it as an indication of endorsement for Meghan Markle.
