Kendrick Lamar’s song, “Not Like Us,” is now qualified to receive a Diamond Award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking another achievement in his career.
The Drake-targeted rap track has swiftly become the fastest-selling song of the decade in the U.S., surpassing the 10 million unit threshold, though official RIAA certification is still pending. This new record comes following a flurry of accomplishments, including:
* The “Grand National Tour” with SZA, which has become the highest-grossing joint tour ever, over the past fortnight.
* The album GNX holding the No.1 position on the Top Rap Albums chart for an extended period.
* The song “luther” maintaining its No.1 spot on the Hot Rap Songs chart for an impressive duration.
In May of this year, the rap song titled “Not Like Us” earned the title of being the longest-running track on the Billboard Hot 100. When it was first released in mid-2024, it also broke a record by reaching 300 million streams on Spotify at an incredibly fast pace.
