In 2023, Kat Dennings, now a married musician Andrew W.K., shared that she embraces one of Whoopi Goldberg‘s relationship principles. On The View, which aired on January 7, the actress opened up about her personal life and professional endeavors while promoting her upcoming sitcom Shifting Gears.
Denning described her life prior to marriage as extremely difficult: “It was really tough, wasn’t it? It was truly miserable,” she stated. She remembered being involved in several long-term relationships and attempting various dating experiences, but these situations ultimately became a “nightmare” for her.
On the show, Denninges referenced a well-known phrase by Goldberg that has influenced her views on relationships, which is: “I don’t want anyone in my space.” Prior to appearing, Denninges confirmed this quote to ensure accuracy.
Absolutely correct! She hit the nail on the head for sure, as co-host Sara Haines humorously confirmed. Yet, when the Two Broke Girls actress crossed paths with her current spouse, Andrew W.K., her entire viewpoint about relationships and matrimony underwent a complete transformation.
She expressed that her views on marriage had been neutral before meeting her partner, but now she enjoys his presence at home and even playfully stated that she wants him there permanently.
