Jean Smart received her second Golden Globe award, this time for Best Actress in a Television Comedy or Musical, thanks to her exceptional portrayal of Deborah Vance in the series ‘Hacks’.
In her acceptance speech, Smart conveyed her deep appreciation by saying, “I never thought I’d feel this joyful about being labeled a ‘hack.’ ” She expressed her gratitude towards HBO Max, the show’s producers, and her co-star Hannah Einbinder, stating that without Ava (her character), there would be no Deborah.
With this latest victory, Hacks now stands alongside esteemed comedy series like The Golden Girls and Sex and the City, which have each claimed multiple Golden Globe awards for Best Comedy/Musical Series. The program has continued to earn praise from critics and is actively shooting its fourth season.
