Selena Gomez is clearly smitten with her engagement ring, and it’s easy to see why! Just a week after revealing her engagement to Benny Blanco, the artist behind “Calm Down,” age 32, posted new photos showcasing her stunning marquise-cut diamond ring.
On Thursday, December 19, Gomez posted her first Instagram story featuring a diamond eternity band adorning a stone that caught everyone’s attention. The mirror selfie also showcased Gomez’s round-shaped nail art, a style reminiscent of when Blanco proposed, which she had been sporting at that time.
The founder of Rare Beauty wore a grin, sporting a black blouse beneath a maroon overcoat. Her cropped brown tresses were neatly arranged with a side part.
Apart from sporting her latest piece of jewelry, the actress from Only Murders in the Building was also spotted donning oversized drop earrings, subtle makeup on her eyes and lips, and a natural touch of cosmetics.
In the second tale, Gomez showcased a video of herself outdoors, with her left hand facing the sun to amplify the shimmer of her diamond ring. She captioned the brief video, “Apologies, final post… This moment I’ve long dreamt about has finally come true.
Previously in the day, at an earlier hour, Blanco, aged 36, similarly used Instagram to voice his feelings about their engagement. Mirroring the post Gomez published on December 11 to announce their engagement, the music producer conveyed astonishment, stating that he’s still finding it hard to believe they are engaged. Subsequently, an Instagram video initially shared on Saturday, December 14, was posted by Blanco, depicting the couple toasting with champagne glasses.
The video seemed to be shot during their soundstage performance setup, leading fans to believe that Blanco proposed during a cozy winter picnic outdoors. However, after the proposal, a source shared with People that Blanco’s plan was extremely reminiscent of Selena and took her completely by surprise.
Following the engagement, which featured the multitalented individual’s preferred Taco Bell dinner, the pair unexpectedly organized a get-together to announce the happy news to their dearest friends and relatives.
Gomez and Blanco began dating in June 2023 and went public with their romance in December.
