Banner Guide – Overheat Levia

Exclusive Weapon
Base stats (Lv 100) Max stats (after engraving and awakening)

As a seasoned adventurer who’s spent countless hours battling fiends and raiding guilds, let me tell you about my experience with Overheat Levia. This costume is truly a game-changer for those who already have Track and Field Levia in their roster.

Official Patch Notes

Overview

A hard hitting, no cooldown 3×3 AOE

A versatile costume for frequent use: Given that the Track and Field Levia magical costume is an essential choice, you’ll find yourself frequently using Levia in your magic teams.

Fills the 5th turn gap on Levia’s costume cycle

Not very useful without Track and Field Levia

Despite her 0 turn cooldown, it’s unlikely you will be able to actually use her every turn

She must be used last, because she removes vulnerability effects

Bad against bosses with long lasting vulnerability effects (Levia removes them immediately)

– While she possesses a potent attack, there are numerous other formidable fire-attacking characters available in the roster, such as the incredibly mighty Celebrity Bunny Loen.

Levia for PVE

Damage

Boosting Levia’s abilities to their maximum level increases her regular damage output by 5 times, totaling 350%, while against enemies with an amplified damage trait, this damage multiplier skyrockets to a whopping 850%. It is crucial to note that the term “vulnerability” in this context refers to abilities that enhance the damage inflicted on the enemy, rather than reducing their defensive or magical resistance stats. This clarification has been substantiated through testing, as game descriptions are not always precise.

In essence, when it comes to a magical team focused on fire, the key ability needed to inflict vulnerability is Track and Field Levia, who boosts damage in a 3×3 area for enemies. At present, no other costumes offer an Area of Effect (AOE) vulnerability for a fire magic team. Consequently, having Track and Field Levia becomes crucial for maximizing the potential of Overheat Levia.

Due to TF.Levia’s 5-turn cooldown, you can only unleash Overheat Levia at its maximum potential once every 5 turns, directly following TF.Levia’s activation. This is because Overheat doesn’t have a cool down time itself, but the effect of TF.Levia determines when it can be used again. However, if we acquire more characters that apply vulnerability debuffs in the future, such as a fire version of WD.Venaka, this might alter how often Overheat Levia can be utilized at full strength.

While it’s theoretically possible to utilize Zenith for vulnerability application on each turn with a magic team, you should note that Zenith can only make one target vulnerable. If the main target is the only vulnerable entity, Overheat Levia (850% main target / 350% other targets) will likely deal less damage compared to Night of Jealousy Levia (4 times 300% main target / 4 times 90% other targets).

In situations where all targets can be attacked, Overheat Levia and Night of Jealousy Levia could be considered alternatives. Overheat has fewer chain stacks and deals less damage to the primary target compared to Night of Jealousy. However, it inflicts more damage on secondary targets. The effectiveness between the two will depend on the enemy formation’s structure, particularly weak points in fiends or guild raids.

Fire attacker comparison

Currently, there is a significant number of powerful Area-of-Effect (AOE) fire attackers available. With such an abundance of high-quality fire attackers, constructing a strong fire team becomes quite feasible. Consequently, the appeal of acquiring Overheat Levia diminishes slightly as you can already build a formidable fire team.

Besides Levia’s other outfits, similar area-of-effect attackers with fire damage include Maid R Liatris (multiplied by 700% when boosted), Esteemed Adventurer Eris (multiplied by 1150% when boosted), and Last Hope Loen (multiplied by 750%). If we’re only considering raw power, Celebrity Bunny Loen stands out significantly. Against groups of enemies, CB.Loen can potentially deal up to 1800% Multi-Attack, which can be amplified even more with the Multi-Attack boost from Track and Field Loen.

Where to use Levia

In games where it’s tough to inflict a vulnerability debuff quickly, Levia tends to underperform; this applies to modes such as Last Night, Tower of Pride, and Tower of Salvation.

In lengthy skirmishes, such as fiend hunts, guild raids, or prolonged battles, Levia excels due to her ability to set up effectively. Yet, whether she outperforms Night of Jealousy hinges on the specific vulnerabilities of the enemy.

Be aware that her ability erases ongoing vulnerability penalties from opponents, a move that may unexpectedly benefit them if not used tactfully. Some entities deliberately inflict prolonged vulnerability conditions on themselves, lasting for multiple turns. Employing Overheat at an inopportune moment might accidentally eliminate these self-imposed vulnerabilities, thus undermining your preparations for the “major explosion turn”.

Levia for PVP

In the current PvP scene, it’s advantageous to have characters with low Spirit Points (SP) costumes, as Levia’s costumes each cost 4 SP. Moreover, strategizing vulnerability debuffs in PvP can be quite challenging at this time. Therefore, Levia might not be the best choice for PVP battles right now.

Conclusion

It’s beneficial for everyone to support Track and Field Levia, as she excels at weakening the magical abilities of opposing teams.

If you have Track and Field Levia but no Night of Jealousy, then you definitely want to get Overheat in order to complete Levia’s costume cycle and greatly enhance her damage output.

If you’ve got Track and Field and Night of Jealousy in your collection, incorporating Overheat will moderately boost the damage output, but the enhancement isn’t substantial as Overheat is essentially a side-grade to Night of Jealousy. If you’ve already gathered Levia’s other outfits, your kit is quite robust and there’s no pressing need to fully upgrade Overheat Levia (unless you’re aiming for high scores in the rankings).

The overheating of Levia is not restrained. At present, there are two golden thread selectors available in the shop for the ongoing anniversary event. Keep in mind that you can pick Overheat Levia using each of these selectors, resulting in a total of 20 free tickets from the event banner.
