Elton John Promises More Music Despite Health Setbacks: ‘I’m Always Looking to Create’

As a devoted fan who has grown up with Elton John‘s melodious symphony echoing through the years, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration and anticipation for what’s yet to come from this remarkable artist. Despite his health challenges, Sir Elton continues to prove that age is just a number and passion, an endless wellspring of creativity.

Sir Elton John has shared that he’s indeed working on fresh tunes, despite the health challenges he’s been facing. During his visit to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on December 17, accompanied by Brandi Carlile, the renowned British musician hinted at a new chapter in his career when Colbert, age 60, inquired if “the creative spark has returned” following the conclusion of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in July 2023.

Elton John himself has confirmed that you’ll be hearing more of his music soon,” he said. “He’s always eager to create and never lets his inspiration run dry. Now, he finally has the freedom to work at his own pace, so expect some new tunes from Elton John.

On my recent visit to Colbert’s esteemed talk show, I took the opportunity to discuss and promote my Disney+ documentary titled “Elton John: Never Too Late.” In this compelling production, I delve deep into my experiences, both on and off stage, as I navigate the rigors of life on tour.

In the run-up to his last North American performance at Dodger Stadium, the documentary reveals Elton John’s journey through time, sharing tales of both exhilarating peaks and devastating valleys from his early career. It illustrates how he managed to triumph over hardships such as abuse, struggles, and addiction, ultimately transforming into the legendary figure we know today.

John’s upcoming music announcement has been made several months following his initial disclosure about an eye infection he contracted during the summer. Earlier this year, Elton, through Instagram, disclosed that he had reduced vision in one eye. At the time, he mentioned that while he was making every effort to recuperate from the setback, the healing was taking longer than anticipated, implying that it would take some time before his affected eye regained full sight.

By late November, the musician disclosed that he had unfortunately lost sight in his right eye due to the infection, which now prevents him from doing simple activities like reading or watching things.

Elton John: Never Too Late is now streaming on Disney Plus.
