In the original film, Persichetti was one of the three directors; however, for the 2023 sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, he assumed the role of executive producer.
During this time, Justin K. Thompson served as the production designer on the initial movie, and subsequently became part of the three director team for Across the Spider-Verse.
The other two directors for the 2023 film were Joaquim Dos Santos and Kemp Powers.

In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, viewers were introduced to Miles Morales and the concept that “anyone could take on the role.
Speaking in terms of earnings and awards, the 2018 release amassed approximately $384 million at the global box office and was honored with an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. In contrast, the sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has earned over $690 million worldwide.
Initially scheduled for a 2024 release, the movie “Beyond the Spider-Verse” has been pushed back to a yet undisclosed future date.
