Brian Cox Shares Insight on Succession Co-Star Jeremy Strong’s Method Acting: ‘He Just Got Rid Of…’

As a seasoned actor and observer of the art form, I find myself intrigued by the dynamic between Brian Cox and his co-stars, particularly Jeremy Strong. Having had the privilege of treading the boards for decades, I’ve seen it all – from the sublime to the ridiculous.

In simpler terms, Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong, who are both stars in the popular TV series “Succession,” often act together in significant roles. Interestingly, Strong portrays Cox’s on-screen child, and the seasoned actor has some observations about Strong’s approach to method acting.

As a lifestyle expert, I recently found myself reflecting on my on-set experience working alongside the talented Jeremy Strong, whom I had the pleasure of acting with. Let me tell you, he was an absolute joy to collaborate with. Our creative process flowed seamlessly, and I must say, his acting skills were top-notch.

Despite Brian Cox having much to share on the subject, he’s never engaged in a one-on-one discussion with the Apprentice actor, as he prefers.

As an ardent admirer, I must confess that Brian Cox once asserted that for us devotees of “the Strasberg line,” the art of acting is more than just a profession; it’s deeply emotional terrain. For those unaware, this esteemed actor has also expressed some reservations about the acting styles of Johnny Depp and Steven Seagal.

Previously, the actor famous for Braveheart referred to certain individuals as “exaggerated” and “ridiculous.” In another context, Brian Cox expressed his frustration about Jeremy Strong’s acting style, calling it “extremely irritating.

However, he now regrets being so harsh with his comments about the actors. 

Speaking to the microphone, Cox admitted, “I have a feeling I may have disappointed some individuals.” He further explained that on occasion, he can be quite outspoken, and at times, his behavior has been impulsive or temperamental.

But today he thinks, why did he say all those things about someone?
