Recounting her role in the prequel series, the author shared with TV Insider that she’s currently penning the script for the show. She finds it significantly simpler compared to novel-writing, as she can complete a scene within just three weeks at most.
In addition, author Diana Gabaldon shared some exciting news – she plans to write the scripts for not just the upcoming prequel titled ‘Blood of My Blood’, but also for the final season of ‘Outlander’.
In conversation with it, the writer subtly suggested the extensive amount of research materials she’s amassed for the forthcoming prequel.
Gabaldon mentioned that she doesn’t dictate the content of the TV adaptations of her stories, and further explained, “As it happens, I have ideas for three shorter prequels focusing on Jamie’s parents. The first one, titled ‘Blood of My Blood’, is based on a summary of the initial book in this series.
If you’re thrilled about the upcoming prequel, it’s worth noting that filming for Outlander: Blood of My Blood concluded earlier this year for its initial season. This exciting news was shared at the San Diego Comic-Con.
The information originated from the television series created by Ronald D. Moore. Later on, he explained that the limited ten episodes in Outlander: Blood of My Blood are a result of the network needing to consider various factors such as budget constraints, preferences, and scheduling compatibility.
