Introduction
As someone who’s been navigating the tumultuous waters of Blue Archive for quite some time now, I must say these swimsuit editions have certainly added a splash of color to our otherwise monotonous raids and battles. Let me break down my thoughts on these new arrivals based on my own experiences and the lessons I’ve learned from countless hours spent in this game.
After the Alabaster Calling Card occasion, a succession of replay advertisements for Shiroko (Swimsuit), Nonomi (Swimsuit), Wakamo (Swimsuit), and a fresh student Serika (Swimsuit) appear. In this piece, we’ll provide a quick rundown on whether any of these characters are worth acquiring and if there have been any updates since their debut.
Serika (Swimsuit) Overview
Serika (Swimsuit) is a Permanent 3* Mystic Special student who is your generic AoE damage dealer with a simple skill set. On release, S.Serika has proven to be an underwhelming unit and has struggled to find relevant usage in any raid. As most teams and strategies involve buffing one student to burst bosses, being unable to receive buffs as a Special damage dealer makes it impossible to keep up with the other alternatives. This is most evident in the recent Gregorius in JP, where D.Hina can clear Torment with a good score. As for S.Serika’s utility, she can be brought into the team as a Crit DMG sub statstick. However, this isn’t a unique role, and several other students can fill this role while providing other benefits. A few examples are Ako, Nagisa, O.Shigure, and even Hanae, who can be farmed to Unique Equipment 50 for free.

Given that we understand the benefits Serika (Swimsuit) brings to the team, should she be a character you prioritize acquiring? If she happens to be your preferred student, then feel free to ignore this advice as ultimately, it’s your game and your decision.
Generally speaking, character S.Serika doesn’t offer anything particularly special at this time, as she isn’t necessary for any current raids. Although she inflicts a decent amount of damage, she won’t surpass a highly-buffed Striker student in performance. Moreover, we’re approaching anniversary banners such as B.Hoshino, T.Shiroko, and Mika, so it is strongly advised to hold onto your resources for these upcoming events.
Shiroko (Swimsuit) Overview
Shiroko (Swimsuit) is a long-term 3-star Mystic Special student who serves as both a buffer and economical support. She offers a teamwide critical hit boost at the onset of battle, reduces the initial cost by one for all characters, and even has a skill that recovers cost for added advantage. Upon her debut, S.Shiroko quickly took over the PvP scene and was an essential addition to any defense team, or else you’d face relentless attacks from players everywhere. Combined with Shun’s initial cost generation, they form the fundamental PvP roster, irrespective of the season or map. In addition to this, S.Shiroko often appears in raids for speedrun teams and cost recovery subs. On occasion, she also proves useful in Binah as a DEF debuffer.

Given that we understand the benefits Shiroko (Swimsuit) offers to the team, should she be considered a worthy choice for summoning? If she happens to be your favorite character, then let this guide not dissuade you from summoning her, as ultimately, it’s your game and your decision.
For players who love PvP or aim to rank in the top 100 PvP, S.Shiroko is a crucial choice. She’s similar to Shun but offers a cost reduction effect instead of initial cost creation. Moreover, she possesses a Cost Recovery Sub Skill that boosts your team’s skill usage frequency. While S.Shiroko isn’t essential for raids, she’s often included in strategies for some teams.
Nonomi (Swimsuit) Overview
Nonomi (Swimsuit) is a permanent 3-star Explosive Striker student, primarily focusing on single target auto attacks. Upon release, she swiftly became a mainstay in the Hieronymus raid due to her ability to excel in that environment. She comes equipped with an inherent DEF ignore on her Enhanced+ and team support through an ATK SPD buff for all allies via her basic skill. Additionally, she delivers significant raw damage in both auto attacks and bursts. However, D.Hina has since surpassed S.Nonomi in terms of damage output, making her less common in raids. To get the most out of S.Nonomi’s damage potential, it is strongly suggested to upgrade her equipment to Unique Level 50. This enhancement provides a slight advantage on Hieronymus Street terrain, enabling her to compete with D.Hina.

Given that we understand the benefits Nonomi (Swimsuit) brings to the team, should she be considered a worthwhile character to acquire? If you have a particular fondness for Nonomi (Swimsuit), let this guide not deter you from getting her since it’s your game and your decision.
Typically, Nonomi on her first launch was the primary choice for inflicting damage in Hieronymus. Regrettably, that’s not true anymore as D.Hina can effortlessly handle any Explosive raid team single-handedly. However, if a situation arises where you need S.Nonomi, feel free to borrow one. Additionally, the anniversary banner is approaching soon. Our suggestion would be to accumulate enough Pyroxenes to potentially pull for both T.Shiroko and B.Hoshino.
Wakamo (Swimsuit) Overview
Wakamo (Swimsuit) is a perpetual 3-star student who excels as both a damage dealer and a crowd controller, often referred to as a Piercing Striker. Upon examining S.Wakamo’s abilities, it’s clear that while most of her skills focus on boosting damage, they also come with a brief crowd control effect when using her EX Skill. This versatility has made S.Wakamo valuable in High Offense Defense (HOD) Torment as a secondary damage dealer. This point is further emphasized by her Sub Skill, which amplifies the damage inflicted on enemies with health below 30%. Additionally, S.Wakamo boasts good accuracy and has the potential to burst down tanks in Player versus Player (PvP) combat if necessary depending on the current meta.

Given that we understand the benefits Wakamo (Swimsuit) brings to the team, should she be considered a worthwhile character to acquire? If Wakamo (Swimsuit) happens to be your preferred student, let this guide not deter you from acquiring her as ultimately it’s your game and your account.
If you’re not focusing on achieving high ranks in HOD (Heroic Order Duels), then S.Wakamo might not be a valuable addition for you, as there are generally more suitable choices if you’re seeking a dedicated CC student or damage dealer. For instance, many players opt for C.Kotama due to her extended CC duration, while Kayoko can be obtained from challenging stages. Moreover, the anniversary banner is coming up soon. Our advice would be to accumulate enough Pyroxenes to pull for both T.Shiroko and B.Hoshino during the event.
