With the trailer now behind us, let’s dive deeper into what we know about Season 2. As previously mentioned, this new season is set to premiere on December 26, 2024. The first episode, named “Bread and Lottery,” will kick things off on that day itself.

The story unfolds three years following Gi-hun’s triumph in the prior Squid Game, during which he decided against moving to the U.S. Instead, he returned home with a fresh determination.

Keeping that thought in focus, he elects to revisit the game that had a profound impact on him and initiates a high-stakes competition anew, attracting fresh players eager to claim the grand prize worth ₩45.6 billion.

Confirmed actors thus far include Lee Jung-jae playing Seong Gi-hun, Wi Ha-joon portraying Hwang Jun-ho, and Lee Byung-hun assuming the roles of both Hwang In-ho and The Front Man.

In a new twist, Lee Seo-hwan takes on the part of Gi-Hun’s friend in multiple scenes, whereas Gong Yoo steps into a temporary role as a vendor who enlists contestants for the Game.

The following actors have been confirmed for the project but their roles are not yet revealed: Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-shim, Lee David (presumably a Korean name), Lee Jin-wook, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Won Ji-an, Park Gyu-young, Jeon Seok-ho, Kim Si-eun, and Oh Dal-su.
