The teaser art and trailer showcase the anime’s first look, featuring Chiaki Kobayashi as Yoshiki Tsujinaka and Shuichiro Umeda as Hikaru Indou.

Chiaki Kobayashi expressed his eagerness to voice Yoshiki, emphasizing the character’s rich emotional range: “I can hardly wait to play Yoshiki! At the audition, I felt a blend of anxiety, comfort, and doubt. I aim to portray all of Yoshiki’s emotions and sorrow convincingly.

As a devoted fan, I can tell you that when it came to embodying the character of Hikaru, Shuichiro Umeda felt like he was stepping into a dark abyss. There were so many uncertainties, but one thing stood out – the powerful bond between Hikaru and Yoshiki. With that connection as my guiding light, I channeled my energy to breathe life into this captivating character.

Director Ryohei Takeshita discussed the method behind animating the original manga, “Reading the story was exhilarating, and I pondered over how to animate its illustrations. Storyline: In a peaceful Japanese countryside, two close friends named Yoshiki and Hikaru share their days. However, an unexpected event occurs when Hikaru returns from the mountains, seemingly changed.
