Unfortunately, before I could fully comprehend the situation, a massive surge swept over my bungalow, leaving shattered glass windows in its wake.

“I heard Simon screaming my name, and it was the last time I heard him,” Petra Nemcova recalled.

The famous person reminisced about a time when she struggled to breathe and even prepared herself for death. But then, she found herself looking up at the sky once more.

Nemcova remembered grabbing large leaves from a palm tree, clinging to them for almost eight hours.

In 2005, she established the international Happy Hearts Fund with a mission to aid children impacted by natural disasters. Now, this renowned model is dedicated to constructing safer schools in regions that have experienced such calamities.

She lived through the globe’s most devastating tsunami, which ravaged parts of Asia. This catastrophe was initiated by an earthquake measuring 9.1 in magnitude that occurred near the coast of Indonesia.
