Khalid Proudly Comes Out as Gay Amid Online Drama And Allegations: ‘I Am Not Ashamed’

As a passionate fan of Khalid‘s music and artistry, I am thrilled to see him embrace his truth and stand tall in the face of adversity. His journey, much like his soulful melodies, resonates deeply with me. The way he handles challenges with grace and humor is truly inspiring.

Khalid, the 26-year-old R&B singer, confirmed his sexuality as gay following allegations by artist Huogo D Almonte on social media. His sexual orientation was initially unveiled online without his consent, prompting him to step out of the closet.

Later on, Khalid Donnel Robinson clarified his previous statements via X (formerly known as Twitter), and added a witty remark for good measure. Initially, the accusations didn’t bother him in the slightest. He openly declared that he has no reason to be ashamed of his identity.

Moreover, he stated that one’s sexuality should not be disclosed to others indiscriminately, as it is a private affair. Similarly, the singer referred to himself as a beacon of truth, suggesting that he has no cause for embarrassment, given that the world continues to revolve regardless.

He wrote, “I got outted and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me love yall.”

The scenario unfolded after Almonte shared screenshots and conversations suggesting a notorious R&B singer, who happens to be gay, had an unpleasant encounter with him. Over time, it was ultimately discovered that Robinson was the individual involved.

Almonte criticized the singer from Location in a very personal manner, hinting at a past disagreement. He further alleged that they had been intimate, presenting it in an unfavorable context.

Almonte claimed, “I was dating this rather unintelligent singer, who’s not exactly a looker. He attempted to frame me and deceive by suggesting I broke into his home because our relationship ended. The idea that I would go to your house and do all that if we had broken up is preposterous!

Khalid opted to brush off the criticism aimed at him and put up a rainbow flag on X with the caption, “Here it is. Let’s move on now, laugh out loud.” He’s already garnered backing from numerous supporters and musicians like MNEK, a music producer and singer, who publicly called out Almonte for his inappropriate behavior.
