Mike Flanagan’s Clayface Script Ready to Shoot This Spring, After ‘Supergirl’ Reports Claim

As a long-time fan of Mike Flanagan’s horror masterpieces, hearing about his involvement in the upcoming DC Studios project – Clayface, has me absolutely thrilled! His unique storytelling and chilling narratives would certainly breathe new life into the iconic villain.

Under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran at DC Studios, they unveiled an array of forthcoming productions, encompassing both animated and live-action series for television as well as film.

Additionally, some upcoming projects such as “Dynamic Duo” and “Teen Titans” have been announced, while the status of others like the anticipated “Clayface” film is still uncertain.

Just the other day, I got wind of some intriguing tidbits from an inside source, Dan Richtman, who spilled the beans on his exclusive Patreon feed. The juicy details were all about less mainstream DC Universe projects that have got me pretty excited!

As per Richtman’s report, it appears that DC Studios is indeed progressing with the production of a Clayface film, a project that has long been whispered about yet not officially verified. In contrast, the Teen Titans projects have already received official confirmation.

Following Richtman’s disclosure, another anonymous source dubbed Apocalyptic Horseman on X provided additional information, creating a more intricate narrative. Mike Flanagan has completed the script for this project, and it is anticipated that the film will hit screens after the airing of Supergirl. Filming is set to commence in the spring.

A year ago, we covered this topic. As far as I know, the script has been completed, penned by Mike Flanagan. It appears that this project might follow “Supergirl” in release, if recent updates are accurate. Last I heard, they were planning to shoot it during Springtime.

Flanagan penned the “Clayface” screenplay, however, due to scheduling issues with his “Exorcist” movie, he won’t be the one in the director’s chair for it.

It’s important to note that Flanagan solely penned the script for Clayface, but he won’t be directing it because of his commitments with The Exorcist project, as its production schedule appears to clash.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the excitement that Mike Flanagan, the mastermind behind chilling tales like “The Midnight Club,” “Doctor Sleep,” and “The Haunting of Hill House,” has revealed his plan for a Clayface film in the past.

Regarding Clayface: Today’s reports are purely hypothetical. Should anything along those lines ever materialize, I assure you I will keep you all informed.,)

The source inside has hinted that the film could join the roster of the DC Universe. Regarding the role of Clayface, it’s widely speculated that Alan Tudyk might take on this character, but at this point, neither the casting nor the movie itself have been officially verified.
