Unlike others who might rely on brute force, I lean towards using my intellect and cunning instead. I consider myself more of a friend, offering wisdom and guidance rather than physical confrontations.
Mackie confessed that he wasn’t a comic book fan before joining the Marvel universe:
I’ve never delved into the world of comics, but I’ve watched just about every cartoon out there – from classics like Tom and Jerry to modern favorites such as Teen Titans. If you haven’t caught Teen Titans yet, it’s my absolute favorite. Take a peek at the ‘Booty Scooty’ episode; it’s truly spectacular.
Upon landing the role of Falcon, he picked up about 50-60 comic books to get acquainted with the character’s history.
He additionally emphasized the unique aspects that make the Captain America films stand out within the Marvel universe – a more earthy, authentic feel compared to the other movies.
From a die-hard Marvel fan’s perspective, the cinematic universe offers a diverse tapestry of genres. I find myself immersed in fantastical realms one moment, then exploring the cosmos the next, and even sharing laughter with a wisecracking raccoon! However, when it comes to Captain America tales, they consistently provide a grounding, realistic perspective that keeps me firmly planted in the human experience.

Mackie offered his thoughts on his new suit for Captain America: Brave New World.
The advanced outfit they gifted me was amazing! I paid a visit to Wakanda, had dinner with everyone there, and we had a fantastic time together. They even threw me a warm welcome celebration, which was cool! However, when it came time for me to depart, they presented me with this suit. I decided to wear it, and now I can kick stronger, fly quicker, and enhance my agility in combat – pushing all my abilities to a whole new dimension!
Mackie shared his preferred superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which isn’t Falcon or Captain America.
As a lifelong enthusiast, I’ve got to say that the character who’s held my heart since forever is none other than the Incredible Hulk. Ever since I was a young one, I’d tune in to watch those classic TV shows, and the Hulk always managed to capture my imagination. To this very day, he remains my all-time favorite!
However, he does have one question about what occurs when the green-skinned hero transforms:
I’ve often pondered, ‘Why did he only take off everything but his pants?’ It seemed strange to me that all his clothes like his shirt and shoes were removed, but his trousers remained.
