‘Thunderbolts’ and ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Are Said to Be “Must-Watch” Movies Before ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

As a gamer with over two decades of Marvel Universe immersion under my belt, these upcoming films have me more than just a little excited! ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Thunderbolts’ are shaping up to be game-changers in the MCU, and I can hardly wait to see them unfold.

Upcoming in theaters, ‘Captain America: A Fresh Era’ will be released on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2025, followed by ‘Thunderbolts’, making its debut on May 2nd, 2025, as the next two Marvel movies.

‘In ‘Brave New World’, Sam assumes the mantle of Captain America amidst a global predicament involving Red Hulk, Tiamut-Adamantium, and The Leader. Concurrently, ‘Thunderbolts’ narrates the alliance of Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker as they band together to confront an impending, enigmatic danger. Yet, it remains uncertain how significantly these movies will impact the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future trajectory.’

Lately, renowned expert Alex Perez led a question-and-answer session where he delved into future developments for the MCU. During this discourse, it was hinted that ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Thunderbolts’ could significantly contribute to the broader Marvel narrative.

Titan: Your curiosity about my prediction for ‘New Avengers’ being reflected in the ‘Thunderbolts’ team is well-placed. Could it be possible that some of those anticipated members will indeed join the team in the upcoming movie, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’?

Sure thing!

Radeon Zonda: “Hey Alex, it seems like Fantastic Four could be an unmissable movie for a Doomsday-like scenario. How does Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts compare in terms of anticipation?

Alex Perez: Definitely would recommend watching those two films prior to Avengers: Doomsday.

Inquiry: Dear space friends, I trust all is well with you and that you have a wonderful day, thank you once more for your participation! I was curious if we might gain insights into the friendships among the Soviets (Alexei, Melina, Yelena, Natasha, Antonia) prior to or when they joined Val/the team? For instance, we know Yelena, Alexei, and Antonia left together following Black Widow, but we’ve only learned more about Yelena since then.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t wait to uncover some details about it all in “Thunderbolts”. What particularly piques my curiosity is learning more about the Red Guardian’s backstory – his past has me hooked!

It’s already clear that Sam is playing Captain America, which makes sense considering his role (he’s likely going to be one of the main characters). Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky, and U.S. Agent have been confirmed for both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. As for Ghost and Taskmaster, their involvement hasn’t been officially announced yet, and we’re still waiting to find out the extent of their roles in these upcoming movies.

Initially, I assumed the Thunderbolts group would play a secondary part, like many heroes did in Avengers: Endgame. However, recent whispers suggest they could be more prominent. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Yelena assumes a lead position, emulating Natasha.
