Sacha Baron Cohen Recalls Having Dangerous Encounter During Filming Of Borat 2; Find Out

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for both danger and humor, I must say that Sacha Baron Cohen‘s experiences during the filming of Borat 2 are nothing short of extraordinary. The intensity of the situation is a testament to his commitment to immersive comedy and his ability to navigate high-risk scenarios with grace.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Sacha Baron Cohen shared a nerve-wracking incident that occurred during the production of Borat 2. He remembered a situation where a gun was brandished at him and he had to run for safety as a crowd pursued him while they were filming a rally scene from the 2020 sequel.

Cohen disclosed that a participant from the Black Lives Matter protest infiltrated the set disguised as an undercover agent. When the actor was identified by the crowd member, they, together with the audience, surged towards the stage.

During an interview with the media outlet, the actor shared an interesting detail: “A member of Black Lives Matter had infiltrated that crowd because there was tension between the two groups. This individual spotted me and exclaimed, ‘Hey! That’s Sacha Baron Cohen, it’s Borat!'” He went on to say, “The audience then attempted to rush the stage.

In a subsequent statement, the actor from “The Dictator” revealed that an irate group initially hesitated before charging the main stage because they had bribed the security to gain entry into the venue. However, once the crowd overpowered the barriers and invaded the set, one individual brandished a firearm at Baron Cohen.

In simpler terms, the actor from Grimsby said, “One of them brandished a gun, but luckily I had a security guard who managed to stop him by saying quietly into his ear, ‘It’s not worth it, friend.’ Apparently, that’s what you do when someone is about to pull a trigger.

In a surprising turn of events, the famous actor disclosed that he was fortunately assisted by the security personnel. They ultimately indicated for him to exit the doorway promptly.

Apart from Cohen, it was also Jason Woliner, the film’s director, who found himself pursued and in hot pursuit, as they were both hounded by individuals brandishing firearms.

In a subsequent statement, the actor admitted, “I had been secretly staying at an Airbnb in Tacoma. They discovered my location, leading me to switch venues every night since some influential individuals from the region were searching for me.

Sacha Baron Cohen was finally saved after he hired a security to get him out of the situation.
