Chris Evans is gearing up for the upcoming holiday season. During promotions for his latest movie, “Red One,” alongside Dwayne Johnson, the actor shared a cherished Christmas custom he hopes to carry forward to any potential children he may have in the future.
During a chat with People Magazine, actors Evans and Johnson discussed their holiday plans. As they exchanged stories, Evans delved into his family traditions and personal anecdotes from his childhood, capturing Johnson’s attention too.
Chris Evans (the actor who plays Captain America) mentioned that this will be his second Christmas with his spouse, and they each have unique customs they plan to observe together.
During an interview with the media, Evans shared that this would be their second Christmas as a married couple. He mentioned that while he cherishes Christmas in Massachusetts with its snow, his wife has her unique traditions in Portugal. As a result, they plan on spending the holiday season alternating between the two countries.
Additionally, he mentioned that they had recently acquired a new location, which has them eager to create some brand-new paths in the snow.
During their conversation, the actor from Black Adam inquired if the Marvel actor had any special holiday traditions he’d like to share with his children. In response, the Avengers actor shared enthusiastically, “Absolutely! I come from a big family of four, and we are incredibly close. We all sleep in the same room on Christmas Eve, on the floor, choose a Christmas movie, and attempt to fall asleep.
Evans expresses confidence that his children will grow up with strong familial bonds similar to those he shared with his own siblings. It’s not the first occasion that the actor has expressed thoughts on parenthood.
At the opening night of his newest film, The Gifted’s leading actor opened up to Access Hollywood about his ambition to emulate the superhero-like father figure portrayed by Johnson in Red One. Additionally, he mentioned that simply becoming a “father” holds an enticing appeal for him.
According to a source familiar with their situation, it was reported in 2022 that the actor had been dating Baptista for some time and they were committed to each other. The couple confirmed this in March 2023, and in September 2023, Evans and the Portuguese native got married.
At the wedding of the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner were among the attendees.
Red One, meanwhile, is in theaters on November 15.
