In the movie, Bailey, who portrays Fiyero Tigelaar, admitted to ComicBook that he felt apprehensive about singing the film’s songs in the presence of Grande and Ervio. He shared with the publication that he felt detached, yet simultaneously put in immense effort to reach that level of perfection while collaborating with these talented singers.
He expressed to the outlet, “I’d say I completely disassociated. I vaguely remember bits of my toupee in the foreground and Jon Chu going like that (thumbs up) in the background.”
The Bridgerton actor went on to say that he put in a lot of effort, fully aware that Grande and Ervio, two exceptionally talented vocalists, would also be present. Bailey then spoke about aiming for the top prize, and it was truly remarkable.
He mentioned to the publication about having a facelift from the “g-force of the sheer heft of their vocal prowess.” He talked about his training with Eric Vitro, who taught him how to sing from Zoom.
Two months following their completion, the pair finally came face-to-face. He described it as one of his numerous outstanding collaborations. He went on to praise Vitro, saying he was “sweet.” Bailey chimed in, “I’d return to my trailer and… well, he kept a firm rein on his vocal cords.
Despite all the excitement surrounding the musical project due to its striking visuals, gifted performers, and intriguing backstage drama, it has also generated interest through some impactful and unforgettable instances during its promotional phase.
It’s widely known that Grande and Ervio developed a strong connection during their work, which is clearly evident when they appear on red carpets or in interviews together.
A noteworthy instance arose as Grande was allegedly spotted assisting her fellow actor and boyfriend, Ethan Slater, in adjusting his bowtie at the November 9 premiere of their movie in Los Angeles.
She enthusiastically praised him during her conversation with Entertainment Tonight. The singer of Thank You, Next declared that Slater was consistently endearing and found him outstanding in the movie. She described him as a “wonderful individual.” The artist behind We Can’t Be Friends expressed delight that people were getting to know Slater better, and her heart was “joyful.
