Marvel TV Exec Brad Winderbaum Hints at Possible MCU Future for Agatha, Jessica Jones, and Loki

As a die-hard Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book reading under my belt, I am beyond excited about the potential for more stories featuring some of my favorite characters! The recent D23 event brought us tantalizing glimpses into the future of the MCU, and the possibility of continued adventures for Agatha Harkness is music to my ears.

The Brazil Comic-Con D23 has concluded, leaving us with plenty of fresh information about upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe ventures! Highlights include a sneak peek at the team known as the Thunderbolts and a tantalizing teaser for Captain America: New World Order.

The plan for releases from 2024 through 2025 has been finalized, leaving us wondering about the future. Fans eagerly anticipate not one but two major Avengers films, and they’re hoping for additional tales focusing on their beloved characters.

At D23, Cinepop had an exclusive interview with Marvel Television’s Brad Winderbaum where they discussed potential projects he’s considering.

Initially, there was discussion about extending Agatha’s tale. I’m sure you’ve heard that “Agatha All Along” has concluded with impressive ratings and a large audience, so we’re eagerly anticipating further appearances of Agatha within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Jac Schaeffer boasts a remarkable creative mind, and her distinct perspective for this series and the characters truly stood out. This unique viewpoint enabled Kathryn Hahn to portray her role with great depth and significance.

I feel like, as an actress she is going to forever be bonded to act the Harkness

The interviewer noted that Marvel Studios categorized Agatha All Along as a comedy series rather than a miniseries for award consideration, sparking speculation about the possibility of a sequel. This is what Winderbaum had to share on the matter:

It seems to me that everyone is yearning for more exciting events to unfold in the small town of Westview. Poor thing, it just doesn’t seem to get a moment’s peace with WandaVision and Agatha around…

Winderbaum not only commended Locke’s act on the show, but subsequently expressed his desire for a particular Marvel Cinematic Universe character to have a fresh season. Unmistakably, he’s rooting for Jessica Jones.

Oh, wow. I mean, Jessica Jones.

As a devoted admirer, let me share a tidbit I picked up from Winderbaum. Regarding Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV shows, he mentioned they may fluctuate in number each year. Sometimes, we might get two or even 2.5 shows, but other times, it could be just one. This is due to the fact that the production process has become more extensive, ensuring that only top-notch series make it to our screens.

He was then asked about the chances of a Loki season 3:

There’s always a chance.
