Zach Bryan Was Known to Be an ‘A—hole’ in Music Circles Long Before Ex-Girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia’s Allegations: Sources

As a dedicated follower of country music and someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the industry, I must say that the recent allegations against Zach Bryan have left me both disheartened and unsurprised. From my vantage point, Nashville’s “male-bro-dominated town” seems to be a well-kept secret, where accountability is scarce and power often goes unchecked.

The situation has become complex for Zach Bryan since Brianna LaPaglia accused him of offering money to conceal their past on November 7th. This allegation was followed by a claim from a music industry source, as reported by Page Six, suggesting that Bryan’s professional standing among his peers is not favorable.

According to a high-level music professional who reportedly toured with Bryan, he is described as extremely unkind and difficult to work with. His behavior towards those on his team is consistently rude and unpleasant. In simpler terms, he is often perceived as arrogant and harsh.

A different industry insider shared with Page Six, “Nashville is primarily run by men, where women are often seen as decorative elements, like tomatoes in a salad, as described by an ex-boss of a music label. However, they seem to avoid consequences; there’s little accountability.

Lapaglia stated, during her latest podcast episode, that the singer’s team proposed a 12-million-dollar deal to her, which involved signing a nondisclosure agreement, forbidding any discussion about their romantic involvement and its termination. This information was reported by the previously mentioned media outlet.

Later on, Bryan’s group came to me with a substantial amount of money, presented as a large one-time payment, along with some choices,” she explained.

Lapaglia asserted that the money, which was meant to be given to her over a period of three years in return for keeping quiet about her encounter with the Singer from Heading South, was something she would have accepted. However, she refused the amount, considering it as something “beneath” her worth or dignity.

According to her, Bryan’s previous partners have all agreed to non-disclosure agreements. One of the singer’s former partners, Den Peifer, shared a video on TikTok showing herself sipping wine following LaPaglia’s allegations becoming public knowledge.

On Thursday, a Barstool Sports podcaster asserted that the Grammy winner repeatedly subjected her to an alleged pattern of abuse. The podcast host also recounted specific instances such as disapproval over her wearing a see-through gown at the Golden Globes and an incident where he reportedly became upset when she once sang a song by Morgan Wallen in his residence.

The musician, who’s currently experiencing great success (as shown by his upcoming performance at Hyde Park, London, on June 28), hasn’t officially addressed the accusations from his former partner yet. But, following the airing of LaPaglia’s podcast, he shared a mysterious quote by Jack Kerouac on his Instagram Story instead.

In that moment, I was at a loss for words. It seemed as if I wanted to weep, for everyone seems to demand justifications for your actions and who you are.

Apart from his recent release, Bryan’s latest single titled “High Road” was made available on Friday. In this song, he expresses, “People are suggesting I require aid or counseling, but what I truly need is solitude.

The musician will be concluding his Quittin’ Time tour in the coming month, after which he plans to step away from live performances for a while to study for a master’s degree in Paris.
