‘I Feel Like Absolute S***’: Bowen Yang Recalls Apologizing To Cynthia Erivo On Sets Of Wicked For THIS Reason

As an ardent fan who has been eagerly awaiting the magical world of Oz to unfold on the big screen, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming fantasy film “Wicked.” The prospect of Bowen Yang sharing the screen space with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo is nothing short of a dream come true!

Actor Bowen Yang is poised to appear alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the upcoming film Wicked. As the movie’s release date draws closer, Yang has disclosed details about a specific scene that led him to repeatedly apologize to Erivo both on set and at various events afterwards.

During their recent Saturday Night Live appearance together, the actor admitted finding it challenging to portray unfriendliness towards Ariana Grande, who played Harriet in a different role.

During his comedic performance, Yang’s character, Pfannee, ridiculed Elphaba about being the sole individual with green skin. Reflecting on the scene later, the actor admitted, “I thought to myself, ‘Boy, I really felt awful, like total rubbish.’

He further added, “Acting is acting, whatever. But in bullying Cynthia throughout this movie, there were so many times where I went up to her and was like, ‘I’m so sorry. This feels so rotted in my soul to treat you this way.'”

He went on to say that his guilt, however, helped Grande and Erivo in some of their scenes. Yang said that he was delighted to watch Cynthia in her raw and beautiful version.

Apart from Eviro, Yang also expressed apologies to Grande during his SNL performance. In one of their kissing scenes, he admitted talking a bit too much. During the skit, he addressed Grande and said, “I truly owe you an in-person apology.” He continued, “During our kiss on SNL, I talked too much while kissing you.

In the film “Wicked”, Grande and Erivo will form an extraordinary friendship on-screen that we can look forward to witnessing.

In the official summary, it is stated that “A young woman called Elphaba, who is often misunderstood due to her green complexion, develops an unexpected yet deep bond with Glinda, a girl who aspires for popularity without compromise.

After meeting the Wizard of Oz, their friendship finds a turning point as their lives start diverging dramatically.

Here I am, eagerly waiting for this week’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) episode to stream on YouTube. Moreover, mark your calendars! The much-anticipated release of Wicked hits theaters on November 22nd.
