Full House Star Andrea Barber Reveals Her Reaction on Re-Watching Episodes Featuring Bald John Stamos; ‘That Was Scary’

As someone who grew up watching Full House, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I hear about Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin revisiting their old episodes. It brings back memories of a simpler time, when Uncle Jesse’s bald cap was just another quirky part of the show that we loved.

Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin openly shared their reactions to revisiting Full House episodes from 1987, admitting their shock upon seeing John Stamos wearing a bald cap during the series.

During their latest podcast discussion about Season 3, the actresses reminisced on an episode entitled “Those Better Not Be the Days.” In this episode, John Stamos’ character Uncle Jesse, appears bald in a future sequence. He wore a bald cap and a gray mustache to depict his aged appearance. Andrea confided in her co-star that it was a truly “terrifying” experience for her to witness.

On the podcast, Andrea remarked, “John wearing the wig looked quite unsettling.” Sweetin concurred, “Indeed, that wig didn’t do justice to John at all.

One popular television series back then, featuring Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier, was adored by many. The plot centered around Bob Saget’s character, Danny Tanner, managing the challenges of being a single father while bringing up his three daughters.

Regarding the episode mentioned by Barber and Sweetin, it appears that Danny is growing weary of his daughters not expressing gratitude for his fatherly responsibilities. In response, he suggests a switch in roles, proposing that Jesse and Joey take on the parenting duties while he experiences life as they do.

In the spirit of Danny’s suggestion, I find myself lost in a daydream, envisioning Uncle Jesse and Joey growing older, seemingly perpetually resting on a bed. Interestingly, the actress from ‘The Heiress’ and ‘The Handyman’ once said, “They all transformed into Billy Crystal from The Princess Bride.

By the finale’s close, I found myself reflecting on the heartfelt lesson the characters imparted – never underestimating the importance of gratitude towards one another and cherishing our dear ones, lest we take them for granted.

Furthermore, Sweetin joked that years later, Stamos still looks good and hasn’t lost any hair.

On the popular ABC sitcom, Jodie Sweetin took on the part of Stephanie Tanner, while Andrea Barber assumed the role of Kimmy Gibbler.

Meanwhile, episodes of Full House are available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
