So ‘Scavengers Reign’ Is Not Getting a Season 2, but Shares Trailer for It Anyway

As a fan of ‘Scavengers Reign’, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing that there won’t be a second season anytime soon. On one hand, it’s a bittersweet moment as the show has become a part of my sci-fi viewing experience and I was looking forward to more adventures in this dystopian world. But on the other hand, I am genuinely touched by Joseph Bennett’s transparency and gratitude towards everyone who supported the series.

It appears that ‘Scavengers Reign’ won’t have a second season at this time, as neither Netflix nor Max are planning to produce another installment. This unfortunate update was shared by Joseph Bennett, one of the co-creators, on Instagram.

However, Joseph shared some positive tidings as well. While the second season of ‘Scavengers Reign’ isn’t underway yet, they have surprisingly unveiled a trailer! Here’s Joseph’s post on Instagram:

In case you can’t read the Instagram post, here’s what he said:

As of right now, Scavengers Reign is not being renewed for a second season.

I felt it was important to communicate this news personally since our audience is truly dear to me. They’ve been incredible supporters of the show, and I didn’t want them to be left in the dark about it.

Since 2016, we’ve encountered obstacles at every turn while bringing this project to life, from our initial Scavengers short film through to the launch of its first season last year.

It’s a case study for believing in something and persevering through a million and one hurdles. But, it got made, thanks especially to so many people who supported it along the way, in big and small ways. I want to thank some of those people, starting with my co-creator Charles Huettner  @charles.huettner , Chris Prynoski  @chrisprynoski and everyone at  @titmouseinc , my home base at  @greenstreetpictures , the writers, directors, and so many incredible artists who worked tirelessly on the show, and the folks at Max who were incredible partners to work with.
