SCAVENGERS REIGN Not Getting a Season 2 at Max or Netflix, Shares Trailer For It Anyway

As a dedicated fan of animated series, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions when it comes to Scavengers Reign. On one hand, my heart sinks at the thought that there won’t be a second season. Max made a grave mistake in canceling this visually stunning and captivating show. But on the other hand, I find myself invigorated by the spirit of its creators, led by Joseph Bennett.

Fans of the stunning animated series “Scavengers Reign” will have mixed feelings. Sadly, there won’t be a second season as of now, as the creators decided to end the series after its first season, despite a loyal fanbase. There was even hope that Netflix might pick up a second season at one point. However, it appears that “Scavengers Reign” season two has been halted for the moment… but not forever. The co-creator of the sci-fi series, Joseph Bennett, shared this disappointing news on Instagram but also hinted at future possibilities. Interestingly, a breathtaking trailer for season two was released regardless, perhaps to attract other networks to the franchise. Frankly, if I were in their position, I’d be just as eager to take it.

Feel free to watch the trailer for Scavengers Reign season two, which is displayed below, and listen to what Bennett has to share regarding the show’s upcoming storyline.

Bennett writes about the current status of Scavengers Reign season two:

As of right now, Scavengers Reign is not being renewed for a second season.

I felt it was important to communicate this news personally since our audience is truly special – they’ve been fantastic supporters of the show, and I didn’t want them left in the dark about what’s happening.

From the very start in 2016 with our Scavengers short film, we’ve encountered numerous challenges at every turn as we worked towards the production of this show. Last year marked the culmination of those efforts with its debut season.

This project serves as an exemplar of faith and resilience amidst countless obstacles. It wouldn’t have been possible without the significant contributions of numerous individuals. I would like to express my gratitude to some of these people, beginning with my co-creator Charles Huettner (@charles.huettner), Chris Prynoski (@chrisprynoski) and the entire team at @titmouseinc, my creative home @greenstreetpictures, the writers, directors, and a multitude of talented artists who dedicated themselves to the show, and the amazing team at Max who were exceptional collaborators.

It appears that making just one season of “Scavengers Reign” proved to be quite a challenge, but despite this, Bennett and their team are determined to continue the series. Not every creator exhibits such tenacity, so it’s truly inspiring to witness it.

Bennett goes on, expressing his thoughts about the future of Scavengers Reign, which encompasses a sneak peek of season two. “However, it’s not over yet. There are still tales to be spun, we’re eager to create another season, and we’ve even prepared an in-house teaser at Green Street for what you can expect in the second season. Once again, thank you to everyone who watched and supported our show.

What a breath of fresh air! We’re hoping for all creators of canceled shows to exhibit this positive mindset, and we can only cross our fingers that season two gets green-lit. Anyone with even a casual interest in TV will be captivated by the proposed trailer for Scavengers Reign season two, as it’s evident this show stands out. The animation is truly unique compared to anything currently available, and the world and story are equally intriguing.
