However, Venom: The Last Dance seems to have turned things around, performing exceptionally well at theaters and receiving positive feedback – particularly in Asian markets.
It’s common knowledge that the production of “Spider-Man: Noir” is underway, and initial responses to set sneak peeks have been overwhelmingly favorable. Additionally, there are whispers of a handful of other potential projects in the pipeline.
Based on reports from trusted source Daniel Richtman, it appears that Sony could be broadening the scope of its top-selling franchise. As per Richtman’s statements, a film centered around Agent Venom titled “Agent Venom” is allegedly being produced at this time.

As a die-hard comics fan, I’d say Agent Venom represents a unique spin on the Venom character. Instead of bonding with Peter Parker, the symbiote fused with Flash Thompson – remember him? The guy who used to give Spidey a hard time in high school and later served as a soldier. After tragically losing his legs during combat, Flash found himself selected by the government for a special project. They wanted him to harness the power of the symbiote in controlled doses, which granted him superhuman abilities and transformed him into an elite agent.
Equipped with extraordinary abilities such as superhuman strength, flexibility, shape-shifting, and powers reminiscent of Spider-Man, Flash consistently battles to suppress the sinister aspects of his symbiote. His duties frequently involve collaborating with teams such as the Secret Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, thereby portraying a heroic interpretation of Venom.
Fans speculate that an “Agent Venom” film might provide the R-rating they felt was lacking in the original “Venom” trilogy, which explains why Sony is considering broadening the scope of the “Venom” franchise—a segment that remains their most prosperous within the SSU.
It appears that Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Venom might be wrapping up with “Venom: The Last Dance,” but there are whispers about Venom joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Knull, who is said to be the upcoming villain in “Spider-Man 4.” Director and writer Marcel subtly hinted that “The Last Dance” may just be the start, implying that symbiotes might continue to play a role in the Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU), potentially through Agent Venom.
