Sophie Turner Says It’s ‘Absolute Agony’ When Her Daughters Leave For The U.S. To Be With Their Father Joe Jonas

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar on October 30, the Game of Thrones actress, aged 28, shared that when she’s in West London by herself, she prefers to stay with a friend as a means of combating the intense longing for her loved ones. “It’s unbearably painful,” she expressed.

Turner mentioned that having kids provided her with a meaningful reason for living. Prior to motherhood, she characterized herself as someone who was frequently down and anxious, often choosing seclusion over social interaction. However, now she feels like she lives her life primarily for her children. She expressed her aspiration for her daughters to observe her maintaining a balanced social life, finding joy in her work, and excelling in both her career and personal relationships. In essence, she wants them to witness a dedicated mother who works hard.

In September 2023, Jonas initiated divorce proceedings from Turner, marking the end of their four-year marriage. Simultaneously, she filed a lawsuit seeking to bring their children back to England – a condition they had agreed upon during their relationship. The custody arrangement has since been decided, with the kids spending time in both the U.K. and the USA, divided between Willa and Delphine.

During the interview, Turner revealed that when returning home after work, she tells her daughters about her absences by saying, “I’ll explain, ‘This is why I wasn’t here – it was because I was working to make sure Santa brings us lots of gifts.’

In addition, Turner shared feelings of remorse for the time she missed with her loved ones while being with Joe Jonas for six years. She stated, “It’s wonderful to be back [in London].” “I just don’t feel like myself unless I’m here, surrounded by my friends and family.

At the moment, Turner is in a relationship with Peregrine Pearson, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday on October 27th.
