As a dedicated anime fan who has witnessed numerous sports romances, I must say that Blue Box is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The way Taiki’s character evolves with each episode, his struggle to balance his love for badminton and Chinatsu, is truly captivating.
In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d say: As I navigate life with Chinatsu, I dedicated time to preparing for the badminton preliminaries. Later, I found myself competing against Kishi. Interestingly, Kyo shared with Chinatsu the impact of her support and worries on my performance. Blue Box Episode 4 recap
In Episode 4 of Blue Box, titled ‘If He Wins,’ Taiki experiences the change in his daily routine as Chinatsu has resided at his household for a month. His growing emotions towards her result in an embarrassing situation when he unintentionally swaps their uniforms.
At a later time, she arranges to meet him for picking it up. However, he inadvertently drops it near the gymnastics group. Eventually, they end up on a rooftop where Chinatsu starts changing her clothes without any embarrassment, causing Taiki to feel flustered and determined to grow up faster.
Approaching the final stages of badminton qualifiers, Haryū urges Taiki to strive for a top 16 position. Later that night, as Taiki is putting in extra hours on the court, Chinatsu appears and encourages him to continue pursuing his dreams. She reminds him that he has time left to make them come true, even though she may not be around in the next two years.
In the tournament, following their success in doubles, Taiki encounters Kishi, who was previously partnered with Haryū. Kishi is determined to beat Taiki and secure Chinatsu’s phone number if he emerges victorious. With Chinatsu’s encouragement fueling him, Taiki vows to win his singles match against Kishi as the Blue Box Episode 4 concludes.
