As an ardent fan of Lindsay Hubbard, I must say, this woman is not just a reality star; she’s a trailblazer redefining baby shower traditions! Her co-ed baby shower is a testament to her progressive thinking and the strong bond she shares with her partner, Dr. Turner Kufe.
Lindsay Hubbard preferred a non-traditional baby shower that wouldn’t just focus on showering the expectant mother with love and attention, but also extend some warmth towards her partner, who will be the father of the baby too.
On Saturday, October 26th, a Summer House star had a gathering at New York City’s Paris Cafe to celebrate a combined baby shower for both the baby mama and baby daddy. This event was reported by Us Weekly. Speaking about the special occasion, Hubbard (who is pregnant with her first child by Dr. Turner Kufe) mentioned that what sets this baby shower apart is its dual purpose – celebrating not only the baby’s mother but also the baby’s father.
She expressed her desire to be celebrated, loved, and supported by his friends and family as much as by her allies and acquaintances. “So that was the main decision,” she noted.
Hubbard clarified that she didn’t want the stress of a typical baby shower, which would involve sitting in a chair and unwrapping presents with friends while under expectation. Instead, she desired for everyone to enjoy themselves after expressing their congratulations to her.
The television personality similarly shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming phase in her life and deepening bond with her partner’s relatives. “It’s incredibly touching to embark on this fresh phase of existence, welcoming a new family, particularly since our daughter will have cousins close by whom she can frolic with and regard as kin,” she stated.
For the Bravolebrity’s special event, the location was adorned in shades of pink, symbolizing the gender of her newborn baby. Hubbard expressed his admiration for the venue’s atmosphere, mentioning that it had numerous windows allowing plenty of natural light to stream in. The celebration included a large balloon arrangement and oversized letters spelling out “Baby Cub,” celebrating their daughter, accompanied by a giant teddy bear donning a pink ribbon close to the sign.
In the photos she posted on social media, you can see Hubbard adorning a pink Costrallos gown for the evening event, accentuated by sparkling silver pumps, and her hair elegantly pulled back into an updo.
A few days ago, a former resident of Summer House revealed a hint about their baby’s distinctive name during an encounter at Us Weekly’s Reality Star of the Year Event red carpet. Although she didn’t reveal much detail, this mother referred to the name as being less common in other parts of the world, particularly America. She and her partner have been practicing saying it to ensure it sounds attractive.
