As a dedicated fan who has been following this Venom saga since its inception, I must say that witnessing the culmination of the trilogy with Venom: The Last Dance feels like a triumphant conclusion to an exhilarating journey. The collaboration between Tom Hardy and Ruben Fleischer, both on-screen and off-, has been a spectacle to behold, much like the symbiotic relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom themselves.
The movie “Venom: The Last Dance” has now graced theaters, concluding the Venom Trilogy. This series, praised by Marvel and Sony Pictures, was a hit following its release with an overwhelming audience response. The actors, particularly Tom Hardy who portrayed Eddie Brock/Venom, as well as the film’s director, had planned for three films from the start. Since the initial installment, Amy Pascal played a significant role in both writing and directing the films up until the third.
During an interview with People Magazine, both the actor and the director shared that when Sony proposed the opportunity for Marcel to helm the Venom franchise, she accepted in order to ensure that three segments of the narrative would be unveiled all at once.
As an ardent admirer, let me share with you my own interpretation of her words: “From the get-go, I was aware that our grand tale would span three chapters. I sensed the trilogy’s inevitable conclusion lurking in the shadows. When Sony entrusted me with the director’s chair for the first two installments, it felt like destiny. And now, as we embark on this final journey, I can feel the exhilaration and the poignancy intertwined – a fitting finale to our epic saga.
Speaking about collaborating with Hardy on the trilogy, Marcel noted that their partnership was unique, as not only did the actor contribute to the scriptwriting for the final two movies, but also played an integral role in the process.
As a dedicated collaborator who’s invested seven years of our creative journey into this film, I can honestly say that we both were eager to see this project through, from its conception to its completion. The timing seemed ideal, and I believed this was the perfect film to make such a momentous stride with.
In summary, the film “Venom: The Last Dance” marks the conclusion of the Venom trilogy, having been preceded by movies in 2018 and 2021. From what we gather from the plot summary, “Venom and Eddie find themselves pursued by forces from both their realms, leaving them with a tough choice that will presumably signal the end of Venom and Eddie’s partnership.
Venom: The Last Dance is running successfully in theaters.
