Todd Chrisley Is Removed From His Job At Prison Chapel For THIS Reason; Attorney Says, ‘He Is Upset’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for human stories, I find myself deeply moved by the experiences of Todd Chrisley, a man who has seen his fair share of ups and downs in the public eye. His recent removal from his role as an assistant to the chaplain at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola is undoubtedly a blow, given his dedication to providing religious services for the diverse community there.

Todd Chrisley, famous for the reality show Chrisley Knows Best, no longer holds a job at the chapel within Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. This is because he’s currently serving a sentence following his and wife Julie Chrisley’s conviction in relation to tax evasion, fraud, and conspiracy charges.

PEOPLE was informed by Todd’s lawyer, Jay Surgent, that Todd was dismissed from his role as an assistant to the chaplain because he had interactions with prisoners involved in the prison’s Substance Abuse Treatment Program.

As per Surgent’s report, Todd appears to be disheartened following his dismissal from his role. Prior to being let go, Todd was actively engaged in organizing religious ceremonies, encompassing Christian, Jewish, and Islamic events.

Additionally, Todd was granted a modest workspace within the chapel, where he carried out his volunteer duties. In expressing his feelings, Surgent mentioned, “He’s deeply saddened and frustrated that he is now prohibited from overseeing religious activities at Pensacola.

Todd believes he was dismissed from his responsibilities unwarrantedly, yet this incident hasn’t shaken his deep-rooted conviction that ultimately, God will arrange things favorably for him, Julie, and their family.

Although Surgent sympathized with Todd’s feelings, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has refrained from making any comments regarding this issue. A spokesperson for TMZ mentioned that due to privacy concerns, they don’t disclose information about the living conditions or work details of any inmate, including Todd.

Todd Chrisley’s resignation from his church responsibilities occurred after spending more than a year behind bars, following the 2022 sentencing that he and Julie received.

In 2019, the pair was found guilty on 12 charges related to tax evasion, fraud, and conspiracy, and received a total of 19 years imprisonment. Their appeals were denied, and they began serving their sentences in prison in January 2023.

In September 2023, the prison terms for both Todd and Julie Chrisley were shortened. Todd’s original term was modified, and he will now be released on June 26, 2032.

Originally, Julie’s seven-year prison term was overturned due to lack of solid evidence. However, a federal judge recently decided that the initial sentence was fair, and thus, her conviction stands. According to prison records, Julie is now expected to be released on April 22, 2028.

In August 2023, Savannah Chrisley discussed the emotional strain she’s been experiencing due to her ongoing legal dispute. On her podcast, Unlocked, she admitted that she tries not to get too optimistic because many aspects of this legal battle have not favored their side. She expressed that she anticipates the worst, and anything more favorable is a victory for her.

Savannah too mentioned that she’s been having a recurring dream about her mother’s return. She specifically expressed that this is the only dreams she’s had lately, as it involves her mother coming back and being at home again, to the extent that upon waking up, she feels somewhat bewildered.
