AGATHA ALL ALONG Gets CHARMED-Style Opening Credits

As a lifelong fan of magical television shows, I simply can’t contain my excitement over this brilliant mash-up of two modern witchy favorites – Agatha All Along and Charmed! Growing up with the Halliwell sisters on the WB and now watching the delightful Kathryn Hahn as Agatha, it’s like a dream come true to see them blend in this unique way.

2024 marks the year when we’re captivated by “Agatha All Along,” our beloved series about enchanting women, streaming on Disney+. However, in the ’90s and early ’00s, the Halliwell sisters from The WB’s “Charmed” were the iconic witches of their time. For eight seasons, they conjured spells, battled demons, and donned various cosplay outfits. Remember when they transformed into mermaids or superheroes? Well, a fan who enjoys both “Charmed” and “Agatha All Along,” named OBCrack on Twitter, has crafted a fan-made version of the “Agatha All Along” credits. This edit mirrors the nostalgic style of the original Charmed Ones from those days. You can watch it right here: [insert link]

The fan-made trailer for this show incorporates many signature elements from the original “Charmed” opening credits. For instance, Love Spit Love’s rendition of The Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now” is utilized as the main theme, just like in the original series. What sets it apart is that instead of listing the actors’ names, they’ve opted to display character names such as “Agatha Harkness” instead of “Kathryn Hahn,” “Lilia” instead of Patti Lupone, and so on. It seems they made this choice for a humorous touch, considering Joe Locke’s character is credited as “Teen,” “William Kaplan,” and even “Billy Maximoff.” They could have also used his Marvel Comics superhero name “Wiccan,” but he hasn’t utilized it in the series thus far.

After the delightful blend of ‘Charmed’ and ‘Agatha All Along’, we can’t help but anticipate another intriguing crossover. Here’s hoping a creative mind out there brings one to life, drawing influence from ‘American Horror Story: Coven’. Unlike the ’90s-era network feel of ‘Charmed’, the 2013 version of FX’s anthology series presents a stark contrast. However, ‘Agatha All Along’ shares as much kinship with those witches at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies as they do with other TV enchantresses. While we might suggest ‘Bewitched’, the recent ‘WandaVision’ has already explored that realm. Yet, when it comes to television’s magical women, the pool of inspiration is vast.
