Marvel Comics Announces ‘Storm: Lifedream’ to Debut During Black History Month

As a lifelong fan of the X-Men and Storm specifically, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming one-shot comic ‘Storm: Lifedream.’ Having grown up with Storm as a role model, her journey has been nothing short of inspiring, and to see her finally get the spotlight she deserves is truly heartwarming.

Marvel enthusiasts are thrilled to learn that Storm, a cherished X-Man character, will be headlining her own one-shot comic titled ‘Storm: Lifedream.’ This unique edition is set for release on January 29th, 2025, and serves as the opening act for Black History Month. It’s also worth noting that this story is included in Marvel’s Voices anthology.

The project is spearheaded by Angélique Roché, the brain behind Marvel’s Voices initiative, and boasts an impressive roster of Black creative artists. Included in this group are Curtis Baxter, who debuted at Marvel with his work on ‘Miles Morales: Spider-Man Annual #1,’ and Brittney Morris, renowned for her successful novels ‘SLAY’ and ‘The Cost of Knowing.’

I’m thrilled to have gaming legends like Eisner Award winner John Jennings, up-and-coming star Karen S. Darboe, and acclaimed cover artist Edwin Galmon (among others) joining me in this exciting game!

‘Storm: Lifedream’ embarks readers on an exhilarating journey, following interstellar historians who aim to rewrite the annals concerning Storm, a highly recognized X-Men member. While their endeavor could potentially reveal an untapped and formidable aspect of her personality, it also jeopardizes her esteemed reputation as they uncover layers of her past.

This comic will delve into crucial phases of Storm’s life that align with her 50th anniversary. It’s an important moment for Storm, as she has recently become part of the Avengers team in the current series by Jed MacKay and Valerio Schiti, and also launched a new standalone series penned by Murewa Ayodele and Lucas Werneck.

Marvel’s commitment to recognizing Black History Month by releasing this edition underscores the substantial influence of Storm and the inventiveness of those who craft her tales. This is a pivotal occasion for the character, and we’re eagerly anticipating how this unique issue will pay tribute to her legacy and history.

As a die-hard Marvel fan, I wouldn’t want to miss this monumental comic that’s set to shine brightly in Storm’s epic tale through the Marvel Universe!
