Known for his portrayal of Marcus Taggart on the medical drama General Hospital, Andrews has announced that he will be departing the show following a three-year stint. From 1996 to 2003, and again from 2020 until 2023, this actor brought Taggart’s character to life on television.

During a chat with his supporters, the actor explained the reason behind him departing from the show. Through his Instagram, Andrews stated that his time on General Hospital had concluded and he’s excited about pursuing larger opportunities ahead.

On his Instagram, the actor behind Expect No Mercy decided to disclose to his loyal fans – his greatest champions – about his departure from the series, and how he plans to discuss it with them.

Andrew shared that he’s been fielding numerous queries for more than a year. While the responses he offers might not be what you’re hoping for, he considers it all wonderful. He continued by saying, “My time at General Hospital has concluded. For quite some time, the writing had been evident on the wall… I felt compelled to convey this here because you have been nothing short of exceptional, outstanding, and incredible supporters.

 

Beyond gratefulness, I can’t help but express my heartfelt thanks to the audience, my fellow castmates, producers, and the entire crew for their unwavering support throughout this incredible journey. And let me not forget, acknowledging the elephant in our shared space – yes, I heard your concerns about how things unfolded with my character on the show. Rest assured, my devoted fans, your voices have been heard!

In conversation with fans, actor Andrews hinted at some exciting upcoming ventures, suggesting he’s eagerly anticipating a “significant role that could be pivotal in my career.

Additionally, he mentioned that the project is now being actively developed. However, due to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), he was unable to provide specific information about it.

As a dedicated follower, let me share with you that the actor expressed his excitement by saying, “When I get the chance to reveal it to you all, it’s going to be mind-blowing… It’s the largest project I’ve undertaken in my entire career.
