This year at San Diego Comic-Con, attendees were startled to learn that Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror is no longer the main villain in the Multiverse Saga. Instead, it was Doctor Doom who emerged as the primary antagonist, with Robert Downey Jr. stepping into the role.
Despite many assuming that Victor von Doom, known for his connections with the Fantastic Four, might make his appearance – nobody foresaw Downey donning the infamous villain’s boots instead.
MCU actors such as Brie Larson and Sebastian Stan were just as surprised as fans when they learned about the news, expressing awe over how effectively the secret had been kept under wraps.
On the other hand, a notable Marvel Cinematic Universe actor has lately disclosed his challenge in preserving secrecy for an extended period: Tom Holland, famous for grappling with the complexities of guarding Marvel’s storyline secrets.
During his latest interview on The Rich Roll Podcast, Holland revealed that he learned about Robert Downey Jr.’s comeback as Doctor Doom mainly through various conversations he had with the actor himself.
I’ve had numerous conversations with Downey, mostly concerning his comeback, and it’s incredibly thrilling. It was challenging to keep that secret because I have a knack for revealing things prematurely.
