Andrew Garfield recently shared his thoughts on the trailer for the new Spider-Man movie, giving fans a glimpse of his reaction. He previously played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its sequel (2014), and made a return appearance as the character alongside Tobey Maguire in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
With Tom Holland now the main Spider-Man in Marvel movies, Andrew Garfield shared his thoughts on the latest film.
The new trailer, starring Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, and Zabryna Guevara, debuted at the UK premiere of The Magic Faraway Tree, with Garfield also present.
Garfield said he’d only watched the video without sound, explaining he did so while getting makeup done so as not to bother others. He thought it looked “very, very cool.”

However, he has hinted that he’d be open to reprising the role if the circumstances were right.

Although Andrew Garfield isn’t appearing in the new movie, Tom Holland honored both him and Tobey Maguire by incorporating details from their classic Spider-Man suits into his own updated costume.
As a huge Spider-Man fan, I loved hearing Tom Holland talk about the latest film. He explained that the third movie was really a tribute to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the actors who played Spider-Man before him. Apparently, his character, Peter, is a big admirer of them both. He even studies their costumes, noticing small details that inspire his own suit design. He sees them as older brothers, and it’s really cool to see that respect reflected in the film!
Both Garfield’s recent remarks and Holland’s tribute show the continuing bond between Spider-Man actors, even across different eras. Fans are excited to see how the upcoming ‘Brand New Day’ will both celebrate the franchise’s history and bring fresh stories to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
