As someone who has lived through the raw energy and unapologetic spirit of Oasis in the ’90s, I can say with confidence that Liam Gallagher‘s reaction to James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman’s impersonation on SNL is quite relatable. It’s like watching a caricature of my own life played out for laughs, and as much as I appreciate humor, there are certain lines that shouldn’t be crossed.

Liam Gallagher isn’t finding the comedic portrayal of him and his brother by James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman on SNL amusing. Last Sunday, the 51-year-old musician voiced his displeasure on social media, expressing doubts about the duo’s abilities as comedians.

After a fan inquired about Liam’s opinion on a Weekend Update sketch that intensely satirized their Manchester accents and longstanding feud, while frequently employing the term “legend”, the Oasis frontman candidly admitted he found it to be quite “painful” at worst.

In a follow-up post, another fan told Liam that SNL did him “dirty,” to which he responded, “I wouldn’t expect anything else from them.”
